For APA Quick Pitch (formerly known as Speed Dating), each prep session will be a small group workshop over Zoom with just 3 – 5 actors/narrators. You’ll coach directly with Jennifer for about 15 minutes, as she helps you customize a unique 2 1/2 minute pitch that is authentic to who you are. Jennifer uses her sales and marketing background, as well as her strong relationships with producers, to inform you of what they want to hear, what they don’t want to hear, and what makes you memorable. This prep also includes an After Party, where everyone shares their experience and Jennifer will guide you to the important steps of following up with producers.
For auditions, Jennifer will work with you for a 30 – 60 minute session. Being on the directing rosters for Penguin Random House, Hachette, Macmillan, Brilliance Publishing, and Scholastic, she will guide you to a strong performance knowing what publishers look for in auditions.
For Meet the Producers/Networking events, Jennifer will coach you on your read, as well as what questions to ask and what to share about yourself. You’ll feel confident and prepared and most importantly, you’ll have fun!
For Demo Samples, Jennifer will review your materials, guide you on which genres will be best for you and your voice, direct you on your excerpts, and teach you on how best to present them on your website and online profiles.
Beginners to pros looking to have a successful Audio Publishers Association (APA) Quick Pitch and Meet the Producers/Networking experience.
